Letters on the beach 2006
Brazil
Words, engraved into the sand of the Brazilian beach, were sent to/from a dear friend. On the extended canvas of nature, a drawing of overwhelming emotions and feelings get embedded with the sand grains, staying in the landscape as a secret, never to be disclosed.
With a nod of finality, the sea swept away those words leaving behind an empty slate to draw on yet again.
Through these non-linear sculptural forms, various disruptions occur creating ephemeral interactions with language, body and nature.
