Defaced the book covers of a publisher's signature styled publication
East side project, Birmingham
The artist presented herself as an intruder in the curator’s domain challenging publisher-curator’s invite and using freedom in his space to alter the singular identity (covers) of his signature style publications by juxtaposing cut-out elements from her own drawings.
Defacing the published book's cover was an act of became working with the identity where there is interference with the visible characteristic of the books. This act of showing two different identities translated into a 3rd new identity.
