Embodied Language 2017
Italy Meets India project, India International Center, Delhi, India
This project aimed to emphasize the use of nonverbal language as a privileged approach to human communication, in order to go beyond the issues of incommunicability that affected our contemporary society, which is often connected with a new wave of intolerance and discrimination, at every level, as we sadly experience in our everyday lives.
In this way, the body language, became symbolic; a receptor of connectivity, in order to remind us, that art is for the co-existence of all possible differences, of a cultural, social, political, religious, gender, or racial nature.
*A joint project developed between the Italian artist Andrea Cusumano and the Indian artist Mithu Sen, in collaboration with the Italian musician Giuseppe Lomeo and the Indian musician Vetri Boopathy.
