Performance on a real-site banquet at SPAF, New Delhi
A site-specific performance was held during the highly prestigious and exclusive art-world banquet organized by the Shalini Passi Art Foundation in Delhi.
‘Lunch is Cancelled’ created a situation of dark humor to highlight the persisting forms of inequality and the post-colonial hierarchy that continue to shape social institutions. Premised on ‘radical hospitality’, the work was enacted through laborious negotiations and contractual exchanges involving the in-house staff and catering team members, Baby Boston ( the pug), his personal caretaker and the Rajputana rifle band team.
